I stay at TradeWinds for the convenient location, reasonable internet and excellent restaurant. But it is not on the beach.

There isn't much near the stadium. With that being said, the island is not very big and you can get almost anywhere in 30 minutes.
The big resorts are around Dickenson Bay and Jolly Harbor. More of tourists spots than anything else. There a few places out by Long Bay (Verandah, Grand Pineapple) as well that are not too far from the Stadium.
Are you expecting a place at the beach or just a place to stay in order to catch the match? You can likely find cheaper places elsewhere and explore the island by car if you are staying longer.

We used Dutchman's Bay Cottages as a place to explore the island. Self catering cottages, quiet, small beach...about 15 minute drive to the stadium. Nothing fancy, but we booked late and it was much cheaper than the usual resorts.
I do not recall seeing taxis or buses in the area, so you would likely need to rent a car. With that being said, the drive to the stadium is straightforward. I am guessing that it would be easier to find a taxi from Dickenson Bay or Jolly Harbor, although I could not say how expensive (we rented a car).
