I noticed the F Lounge in AUH is open 24 hours, I'm flying KTM-AUH-JFK in F, the flight KTM-AUH arrives 20:30, is it feasible to have a decent nights sleep somewhere in the F AUH lounge? are there many flights during the night in AUH?.

What heck, there's WiFi, food all the time, showers, etc..

I believe there are rooms you can sleep in, I have never seen them, however my travelling companion went for a nap in one. This was in the newer terminal.

Yes, there are 3 "quiet rooms" each with 2 sofas in them. You should ask at reception and they will be able to show you to a room.

The sofas are comfortable to sleep on and they will provide a blanket. However, note that the rooms are shared, i.e. 2 sofas / occupants per room.

There's a hotel in the transit area. Unless you have an award ticket or other special case, EY should put you up at their expense.

I understand it's not a first class hotel, but at least it's a private room (unlike the lounge).

I am sure that I read on the website for Etihad that they do not put you up at their expense.

I'd forget the quiet rooms and just head to the transit hotel. Besides, the 'savings' you've already made belittle whatever amount you will pay for a proper hotel room ;)

Yes I'm using an AA award.. but I like the idea of sleeping in a lounge, this will be a first for me. How many spa treatments can I get at the Six Senses Spa during the evening and in the morning?.

They won't limit you to one if the lounge is quiet, i.e. mornings. Late night departures it can be hard to get a treatment at all.

Similar question. We get in at 7am and the connection is not till 1pm. Would you get a hotel room in the airport or just use the lounge for a power nap? There will be 2+1 so I guess the lounge room sounds ideal.

Can you get a decent nap in the 1st class lounge room for 3-4hrs?

The nap room has two long couches (across from each other). I am 5'11", and had no problem laying on the couch with my legs straight. The couches come with a blanket and a pillow each. Here is a pic of the room. I would spend my time here, instead of getting a hotel room for a few hours. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-eQ93fggrwDs/T4_YNUYmgCI/AAAAAAAAH0M/mvX5A4hHrao/w272-h363-k/Nap%2BRoom.JPG

Flying JFK-AUH-MLE in F on AA award and was wondering what happens to our checked luggage if we decide to "rough it" in the F lounge overnight?

Very nice provided that you do not get a snoring companion.

Used it for a 3hr nap last week. No complaints.

Slept in this lounge a couple of times. They tend to be quite comfortable. Its very quiet and I slept like an angel :D They also came and woke me up when it was time to board my flight.

Well, I'm hoping my companion would be my wife, and thankfully she don't snore :)

Anybody know about this:

Anybody know about this:

If you check it in at JFK then you can pick them up in MLE. As long as your stay is reasonable at AUH (under 12hrs)

Thy will keep them.

Everything worked our great. Had a 13.5 hr stopover in AUH, and the bags were checked all the way thru to MLE. Spent the time in F lounge.
