On a recent flight CPH-AMS, I read a report in SCANORAMA (Feb 2012) that SAS is introducing onboard WIFI and cellular service on all its 737-800 planes used on domestic & European routes.

Starting with their short haul/European service makes a lot of sense! Other carriers (e.g. Virgin) promise on board WIFI and don't deliver!

It is great to see SAS investing in on board improvements! Not a lot of fanfare, but a real improvement for passengers!

Playing catch-up with Norwegian the airline? Either way, this is a good thing for me as it has been some years since I have posted on FT while in-flight on a commercially-scheduled SK flight. :D

Used this for the first time this evening. Only 26 operational minutes on osl - arn, but good to see SAS go "back to the future" i have missed my wifi. Now lets see it back on longhaul.
