Midwest - New airline coming to MSPView Full Version : New airline coming to MSP ajoy Feb 27, 12, 9:11 pm According to the Star Tribune, "New low-cost carrier to fly from MSP" http://www.startribune.com/local/140589983.html ajoy Feb 27, 12, 9:15 pm I see that someone already posted about this in the Delta forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta-skymiles/1318607-new-airline-msp.html N830MH Feb 27, 12, 10:51 pm My guess NK or VX is coming to MSP. I think it's a logical choice for Spirit. I think NK will start nonstop from MSP-FLL/DFW/ATL/LAS/MCO or MYR. gosha83 Feb 28, 12, 2:35 pm The speculation at the end of the video here (http://travel.usatoday.com/flights/post/2012/02/guess-the-airline/636676/1)is that it could be JetBlue or Spirit. I was thinking of VX myself, but I am not sure how much sense this would make (wouldn't they fly to bigger markets first, like Chicago, in the MidWest?). cblaisd Feb 28, 12, 3:55 pm Per http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/travel-news/1184086-welcome-travel-news-what-should-posted-here-what-should-posted-elsewhere.html, since this is a story about a particular city/airport, I will move to the appropriate geographic forum with a 30-day re-direct left here for those who wish to view and discuss. cblaisd Moderator, Travel News United747 Feb 28, 12, 4:06 pm I would really welcome an airline like VX at MSP, but it is a lot more likely that it will be Spirit. Although, with dtw as a hub for spirit and delta, I think that spirit will not last long. Also, with sun country offering low fares to leisure destinations I don't think it would work for spirit.
