I applied for a Virgin Am Ex card last month,
spent the required $2,500 to get the 50k miles
I don't intend on ever using the card again,
If I cancel it now, will I get back a portion of the $90 annual fee,
I have the 50K miles already credited into my Virgin FF account,
any other downside to cancelling the card,
or should I just throw it into a drawer and forget about it??

This is a Bank of America card not an AMEX MR card, this will probably be moved shortly.

To answer your question, some issuers require the account to be open at least six months or they can take your miles back. I would read the T&Cs before you cancel.
