Hilton HHonors - Missing Stay Credit Online Broken?

Has anyone been successful in entering missing stay credit via hhonors.com for the last four or five days?

This used to be extremely easy to do. I've emailed a couple times to notify them of website problems and inquire as to a timeframe for repair but the responses have been non-responsive.

They have suggested faxing or mailing my stay info, and while possible it does involve extra effort and expense for something the hotel should have done in the first place. The online method was so convenient when it used to work.

I tried using this feature about three weeks ago. It seemed to be working to some extent, but the list of hotels was incomplete, and there was no place to enter any notes (e.g. so you couldn't describe what the specific problem was). I checked again just now, and these problems still exist.

So instead of using the form, I sent an email with my missing stay information, and noting the problems with their web site. I received a response noting that my missing points had been credited, but no mention was made regarding the problems with (or any expected fixes to) their web site.

Tried using this function yesterday afternoon, but after punching in all of the rquired information it gave me an error message. I then proceeded to e-mail them all of the same information that the form requires but have not heard back from them nor have the points posted using that avenue either.

I entered two stays today online. They both went through without a problem.

Just out of curiousity, what is the error message you are getting? Hilton has modified their missing stay credit website so that if your stay is not at least three weeks old you cannot submit it online.

For example, the two stays I entered today were over three weeks old and worked fine. I tried to enter one that was less than three weeks old and when you click the submit button the screen where you enter your missing stay details pops back up with a message in red print at the top saying that your stay is less than three weeks old and cannot be submitted online until three weeks have passed.

This appears to be a new modification that Hilton added around the new year. I was able to submit missing stays 1-2 days after the stay back in December, but since the start of the new year I get this message when I try to do it before three weeks.

It was over 3 weeks after check-out. Yes, the system will not even let you do it any more unless it was at last 3 weeks ago.

Weird. Hilton's system must just be fidgety. I had some issues with the online missing stay forms last year but so far its been good to me. *Knock on wood*

Entered 2 missing stays in late January, but no points yet. Previously this used to work quite fast, so there might indeed be some problems.

Just tried again to post a stay of 3-1/2 weeks ago. Still broken, the message is:

"We're Sorry,

An error has occurred in the system, and we are unable to process your request at this time. The error has been recorded and will be investigated by the system administrator. We apologize for this inconvenience. You may contact the HHonors Customer Service Center nearest you for assistance, or call 1-800-HHONORS.

Bizarre. I wonder what is going on with Hilton's website that it works for some, works slowly for some, and works not at all for others.

I can't speak for the error on the web page, but the speed with which the stays post must depend on who is manning the request service that day. The missing stay requests that I turned in at about 1-2 PM Pacific Time yesterday had already been posted to my account when I was looking at it last night. Point and everything were there.

Could it be that it does not work for some very cheap hotels...(Reno, etc.)?

No that's not it. Both of my missing stays were at the Reno Hilton for $25-28.
