Africa - Tangier day trip from Algeciras or Gibraltar
I'm going to be in the south of Spain next month, staying right between Algeciras and Gibraltar. I thought about taking a guided day trip to Tangier with a friend who's going to visit. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations as far as companies or operators?
Thanks

I went six years ago. From what I remember, I don't think there's really a need for a guide.
Ok.. what about the ferries, etc... I haven't been able to find a straight answer.
Thanks!

What specifically do you want to know? Are you looking for feedback on specific ferry lines or need info re. scheduling, etc.
When reviewing schedules, make sure the ferry goes directly into Tangier, not Tangier Med, which is 40 or 50 miles away. (I'm not sure if the Algeciras & Gibraltar ferries run both routes.)
I'd agree that no guide is necessary. I provided some suggestions in this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/africa/1314524-ferry-tarifa-tangier.html).
Which lines operate them and how to book. I believe that only Tarifa runs to Tangier ville.

Sorry, I haven't taken the ferry, so I have nothing more to suggest than the obvious (google Tangier Gibraltar ferry and Tangier Algeciras ferry).
