I have 2 coupons from staying at Hilton Garden Inn a couple of years ago around San Francisco.

The coupons are good for free breakfast at 'The American Grill' inside of Hilton Garden Inn.

I plan on staying at Hilton Garden Inn in Chicago over the weekend. Anyone know if these coupons can be used at the restaurant or for freebies at their little Hotel store?

There is no expiration date on the coupons.

Are the 'American Grill' restaurnats the standard restaurant in all Hilton Garden Inn's?

I'm not sure about transferring the coupons from hotel to hotel -- although my gut says that you probably can't -- but I do know that the HGI in downtown Chicago doesn't have an "American Grill" restaurant. The rest. attached to the hotel is the Weber Grill (yes, like the barbecue makers).

I know this is a little off-topic, but have you eaten at the Weber Grill.

I remember going by it before.

Anygood, or is it an Idine member that you are aware of?

I've never eaten at the Weber Grill myself, but several friends have on occasion. They say it's pretty good. Food's fine, not bad on price, etc. It always seems to do pretty brisk business when I've walked past.

On the other hand, I've never been because there are so many other outstanding dining options literally within a couple blocks of the HGI Chicago. If you want BBQ, hit Carson's for ribs. Steak? You're a few blocks from Morton's (the original outpost) and several other big-time spots. Don't forget Frontera Grill (the more affordable Rick Bayliss restaurant), which is fantastic -- great brunch on weekends, too. And then there's one I really like -- Papagus, the Greek restaurant now in the Embassy Suites just around the corner from the HGI. So many options!
