We wish to fly to Perth from YOW in mid-Dec (we have a week booked at a timeshare between Dec 15-22; we may add a few days on either side of this week, so our maximal stay away from home would be 2 weeks). We may spend for 2 business class seats, or 1 business class seat and try to get 1 business class award. What is the best way to get a cheapest business class seat.
I guess that the AMEX Platinum card is NOT the cheapest way - one would get a full fare business class ticket, for the cardholder - even though it may be free for the companion. Of course, the AMEX benefit only applies to ANZ's gateways in North America - ie LAX, SFO, YVR, or HNL.
Does ANZ ever have sales, where is cheapest discounted business class fare is itself significantly discounted ?
What do people think about the circle Pacific pass as the cheapest alternative? As the cheapest nonANZ alternative, I guess I can try the SQ (on its metal only) RTW ticket - perhaps going from EWR to EWR.
Any other options?
