I have no status on any airline and has a 6-hour layover in Perth. Anyone knows where there's free wifi at the airport? Any of the cafes or restaurants offer wifi?

It's not free. http://www.perthairport.com.au/PassengerInformation/WiFiConnection.aspx For more details info, it might help if you tell us which terminal you're going to be at. (T1, International, T2 Qantas Domestic, T3 Domestic, everyone else. ) pilotdude09 Feb 26, 12, 4:40 am 6hrs!! Thats a looooooooong time to suffer in Perth Airport.....personally I'd get out of the airport and go and see/do something! thadocta Feb 26, 12, 9:28 am Isn't there an American Embassy (aka McDonalds) there? Don't they all have free wi-fi? Dave chrisb Feb 26, 12, 10:14 am Isn't there an American Embassy (aka McDonalds) there? Don't they all have free wi-fi? Dave I don't think so. There's one about 3Km away. I don't know if any of the other businesses in the terminals have wifi for customers. im.daniel Feb 26, 12, 8:11 pm Domestic - No free wifi, unless you are close by to the Virgin Lounge (T3). You might be able to pick up signal from the Qantas Club in T2; but the signal isn't very strong downstairs. International - Near Gate 2, you can connect to the Qantas Lounge Network which doesn't require a password, or Near Gate 4 you can connect to the SQ lounge (requires password - PM me and I will send you the pw :) ) There are also Optus computers located in the International terminal which offers free internet access to passengers! canadianidol Feb 26, 12, 11:28 pm I'm arriving internationally on a Star Alliance flight at T1 and connecting to Qantas at T2. Guess I'll make my way to T2 and drop off my checked bag and try to look for a signal outside Qantas lounge. Since my flight arrives at 4pm and connecting flight leaves at 11pm, I think it's a waste of time and money to try to get into the city for only a few hours. chrisb Feb 27, 12, 1:52 am BTW: if you're bored and hungry its probably worth a walk over to the Virgin terminal. The food choice seems to be better over there. |
