Avis - AVIS in Alaska Beware

Avis in Alaska will not credit miles to United Airlines.
I paid extra to go with Avis because their UA mileage promo was better than Alamo but got screwed because in the end they do not credit anything.

No need to say that nowhere does the AVIS website mentions this is a franchise/they do not accept FF/...

Unfortunately, they are a franchise and don't follow many of the corporate programs. They refuse to do upgrades, also! In my opinion, there's no reason to have *any* loyalty to Avis if you're renting in AK. Rent based upon price only.
