Hi,
Recently the day before a flight from JNB - AUH in Y I was contacted by the local Etihad ticket office in JNB with an offer impossible to refuse to upgrade to J class and also a competitive upgrade price for an upgrade to J on AUH - DUB on a flight a few days later. So I decided to upgrade both flights and no special restrictions were mentioned in the emails or when on the phone to the call centre.
However now after checking my Guest miles I notice that the 2 upgraded flights are showing as 'X' class and I've received 0 miles. On upgrades with various airlines in the past I've either received the full J class mile entitlement or the original Y class amount.
So was just wondering if this is normal with upgrades with Etihad or should I submit a missing miles claim?
