Hi,
I have an early LH flight leaving CPH at 6.05, and I have bags to check-in (can't check everything the night before). When do the check-in counters open at CPH?
Thanks in advance!

Not sure, but the check-in cut-off is something like 5:30 a.m. for that flight, so I'd work back from that. Personally, I would arrive around 5:15 a.m. for that flight as someone in business class and/or doing business class check-in; however, some try to get there as early as at least 4:30 a.m. for this flight when having luggage to check-in and realizing that the security line at some times does take up to 12-18 minutes. From that, I'm guessing check-in is open at or before 5 a.m. but not more than an hour before that.
Don't get up way too early, for even SK's ticketing office at CPH is barely open long-enough in the morning to get passengers onto a flight at 6:05 a.m. [They only open at 5:30 a.m., so that leaves basically not much if any time to get tickets purchased/reissued there and make a 6:05 flight.

It does depend a bit on where are you flying, but in my experience CPH is very efficient early morning. Check in online from home/hotel to save time in the morning.

I did the same flight 2 yrs ago (LH CPH-FRA), and I kind of remember that they are opened from 5am or so. But I can't find it anywhere online about check in opening hours.
Thanks for the info!

4.30. I just asked. But you have to wait till 5.30, if you want to use the fast track - which should be ok for the 6.05 flight.

I can confirm 4.30. Took this plane a couple of months ago. Had to wait until 5.10 or so for odd-size baggage to open, though.

No wonder our car seats didn't make the plane. They were checked in as odd size at 5am or so for the 06:05 flight.
Thanks a lot for the info!

Ouch. Were you planning on using the seats today? If so, what did the airline suggest you do?

It was 2 years ago. We checked that bag in at 5am in CPH. We didn't realise until we were at DFW. They ever showed up and the ground staff at DFW saying they had no idea where it could be. They did absolutely nothing except telling us to wait, and of course no compensation whatsoever (fortunately we have travel insurance). They said normally if they have some unclaimed car seats we could borrow them but they had nothing.
Fortunately we didn't need them rightaway, so we bought new ones at Target when we were there. They showed up after 48 hours or so.

A bit OT, but I'll be taking a KLM flight departing CPH at 6.00 am, so I was also trying to judge when to get to Kastrup.
Check-in is from terminal 2 and we'll be flying to AMS, so within Schengen. Would arrival at the airport at 5 am be sufficient, or cutting it too close? I don't know yet whether we'll be able to check-in online since our tickets are DL-issued with final destination in the U.S., so we may need to check-in in person.
I also just noticed this note on the CPH.dk website on the page listing the airlines and recommended arrival-at-airport times:
*CPH Express = Garanteret hurtig adgang gennem sikkerhedskontrollen. Kun for særligt inviterede passagerer og for passagerer på 1. klasse, business class eller med Norwegian Fullflex-billetter. Hvis du er i tvivl om din flybillet giver adgang gennem CPH Express, kontakt da venligst dit flyselskab.
When I scroll down the list of airlines, the * appears by AF, BA, KL and a number of other major airlines (not SK). I have never noticed this before and wondered if it is a new service - kind of like SK's FastTrack, but for the non-SK airlines. We will be flying KLM business class (but again ticketed by DL), so wondered if we would have access to this.
Is this a new service at CPH?
Again, sorry if this is OT for the SK forum, but this is where most people gather who are familiar with CPH.

Yes, it is pretty new.
The guys over at cph.dk are also a bit familiar with the airport ;)
Air France
British Airways
Emirates
KLM - Royal Dutch Airlines
Norwegian
Qatar Airways
TAP Portugal
Thai Airways
Turkish Airlines
CPH Express er placeret i hver sin ende af den centrale sikkerhedskontrol mellem Terminal 2 og Terminal 3 (spor 1 og spor 16).

It is new – and until now very little used.
This Monday at 7.00 AM the queue at SK Fast track went all the way to the stairs (some 60-70 meters), and as the signs said 5 minutes waiting time at the “people’s entrance”, I went there. (The waiting time actually was 9 minutes plus handling time...)
But I noticed the CPH Express, where there were, say, 5-6 travelers all together. No waiting time at all.

Yes, that's why I quoted them. ;)
But I hadn't initially noticed the extra page related to this - thanks!
Sounds good.

It is new at CPH, but AF-KL are often not granting access to AF-KL Platinums in coach. Not sure if that is a matter of airline policy or just that contract check-in agents don't have it on their mind that this is part of the picture.
CPH Express was largely empty Friday.

Yes, they were putting random Y-pax through it when I passed by at around 1745

The first morning flights and the early evening flights being the bulk of its use for all of Friday according to the people working there.
It seems utilized to an extent to which its use could be expanded to include more passengers.
Do any of the above-listed initial CPH Express airlines grant access to it for economy class passengers with a higher status level in the frequent flyer programs? Has there been any mention about the per user supplement charge involved?

I meant to write Y-pax... I passed through it on a LH low econ ticket. So to me it seems like they use it to level the pressure on the other lines as soon as there is no CPH express pax in line. The queue-meter said "7 min queue" at that time, but there really was only 8-10 people in each line.
For the participating airlines I only know about TK, and they do not offer it to elite members.

I can confirm this - from this morning.
I was going to SAS Fast track at 7.00 am this Sunday not aware that it opens at 8 at Sundays. At the main security i asked, if SAS Fast Track customers could use the CPH Express, when SAS Fast track is closed (could be a good idea!), but no.
But just after a security worker removed the barrier to CPH Express – just for me. Maybe because I looked a bit more business-like than the rest this Sunday morning.
5 extra minutes at the lounge!

We are taking the same flight this summer. Any idea whether LH/SK allow checkin including most if not all baggage the night before?
Thanks

Yes, it stated on LH's homepage saying about the night before check in and bag drop. One thing though, I was told once by a Swiss ground handling agent that if you check-in the night before, they might misplace the bag and you won't get it at your final destination.
It's CPH = not all agents know everything, some staffs can be very very imcompetent. Make sure you have all your BPs when you do the bag drop (very important) and if they still refuse you, then insist on that and tell them that you have seen it online etc.
I usually sent Mr. Nacho along because he is a Dane and he usually does it after work so he doesn't look like a tired traveller when he was there :p
It happened to us with our bags with LH for the 6.05 flight - our car seats didn't show up at DFW.
