I became a Premium member on LanPass sometime in September of last year. Its almost the end of FEB and despite calls and emails to the bozos at LANPASS, I still dont have my card. Im concerned about upcoming One World flights and the prospect of having to pay for baggage fees because I dont have the proper hardware....
Any ideas...?

Usually delivered in April. Your status shows on your reservation, electronic ticket and B.P. The card is really not very useful.

If you fly on LAN, then I would agree, but what about with 1W partners...? Considering the AA bag fees for no status flyers, can you rely on the system to update things properly and reflect your true status....? In these cases, Im not so sure the card is of no use.

I flew with AA less than a month after qualifying and the system did recognize my LAN status (for seating and priority check-in/boarding).

Fair enough.... my upcoming flights will be on AA so I will keep my fingers crossed. Of course, if this doesnt happen and I get dinged with fees then I can only imagine what I will have to do to get LAN to cough up this money.... mission impossible if there is one.
On a side note... the card itself is actually quite useful on the wrong side of the Andes, apparently you can get discounts at shops & restaurants. I wonder what would happen if I went over to Santiago, presented myself at a shop with this benefit and got asked for my card.... perhaps some of my cousins can have something to show the Chileno Consumer Advocates....????
 :p :D

Mine doesn't, I just flew FLL LAX LHR LAX FLL with AA and BA sold as AA
Status showed on FLL LAX but not LAX LHR and both BPs were printed at the same time in FLL
Coming back status didnt show on either BP and the woman would not have let me into the galleries lounge at LHR without showing her the card. I subsequently got into the Admiral's club at LAX without the card or status showing on the BP
I find status showing up on BP to be completely hit and miss

Same status I gained in September.... I guess I should be happy this will get me into the Admirals Club... is this lounge access valid on both domestic and international flights on any One World carrier...??

No not for ANY oneworld carrier. You of course cannot use it to access LAN domestic lounges because there aren't any.
Like I said above, I have had inconsistent experiences with just a boarding pass on AA.
MIA to DFW to HNL nothing showed on the BP, I didn't plan on going into any lounges but what are you going to do if you want to board first with Priority Access? wave a status-less boarding pass at them and then show them a card you don't have?
HNL LAX MIA at HNL my LANPASS number didnt even show on my BP, so I asked her to check it and make sure it was in the system. She checked and then stamped my BP with Priority Access manually, so she saw it.
BOG MIA BOG These were my first flights where status showed on the boarding pass and I automatically got given a lounge access invite on a OW partner
MIA ORD FLL LAX LHR These were the first flights I was able to book preferential seating on, I got to take two suitcases with me too and got priority tags. Like I said though, status didnt show on the BP for the BA segment to LHR even though it was printed at the same time as the AA BP by AA check in at FLL
LHR LAX FLL once again like I said, status didn't appear on either BP, the BA one or the AA one. Had to show the lanpass card to get into the LHR lounge, she then printed a new BP with the status on it so that would imply that the systems don't marry up too cheerily.
LAX FLL I went into the lounge in LAX, gave her my BP, she checked on the system and let me in, which might imply that once again she could see it but it wasn't on my BP
You should be OK with AA, but I wouldn't be 100% certain that your status appears on you BP
