Iberia Airlines Iberia Plus - Stand-by/re-accommodation on earlier flight. A possibility?

So, my girlfirend and I are flying to Israel on March 15th, but we couldn't secure a seat on the same flight. She leaves JFK at 5pm BArcelona-bound and connect at 9am the day after to a flight to TLV. I am on a 11pm flight to MAD and connect after a 12 hours layover there to a IB flight to TLV.

As we are going to the airport together, do you think we have any chance to be put on the same earlier flight?
