Ancien Maestro Feb 23, 12, 10:34 pm IIRC Over the years, attempts to status match with Fairmont President's Club have not been successful. Jasper2009 Feb 24, 12, 1:34 am Fairmont Presidentīs Club does not have an official status match program nor have many people been successful getting a status match. The main reason for this is that you get a good amount of valuable benefits in advance to use during the membership (e.g. free night in a suite can easily cost >$1000), unlike other hotel programīs status where status alone isnīt worth much if you donīt actually stay there. That being said, if you intend to stay at Fairmont hotels on a regular basis (preferably having already booked a fair amount of nights), Iīd contact FPC nevertheless. (I know of a few people who received a comp. suite upgrade cert and one person who got comped Plat status without the free night cert) Also, there are various fast-track promos to Premier/Platinum status targetted to Canadian AMEX Platinum customers (Centurion members get comp. Plat status), Air Canada Elite / Super Elite members etc. sjuhawk_jd Mar 28, 12, 8:57 am This is bad news for me. I was planning on just asking for a status match as I am planning to stay in several Fairmonts this summer in Quebec City, Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff etc. These locations do not have much for SPG or Hilton, where I have highest loyalty status. Book a few and then give them a call. THey tend to be pretty responsive to getting new business. Ancien Maestro Mar 28, 12, 1:13 pm Does Hyatt status match in reverse for FPC platinum members? Far shot, but thought I'd ask.:) hrci Mar 28, 12, 1:35 pm I've been a Platinum member with FAIRMONT over the past 3 years and i'm a Platinum everywhere else. I've travelled a lot to Asia last year and was unable to get Status for 2012. I tried and they ditch me. No way they will understand. I imagine when I will go to their property!!!! I will just go and not give them business at the same time. I will also let my consultant know they are not part of our preffered hotels anymore. They will loose a bit of business but hey!, serce your loyal customer better !!!!;) Jasper2009 Mar 28, 12, 1:56 pm I've been a Platinum member with FAIRMONT over the past 3 years and i'm a Platinum everywhere else. If not, I doubt you were a particularly valuable customer.:p Iīm not sure why youīd expect Fairmont to hand out Plat status if you didnīt qualify. Qualifying is pretty easy nowadays with the various Air Canada / United / Lexus / AMEX Platinum / AMEX Centurion / etc. offers. WORLDWIDE TRAVELER Mar 29, 12, 3:59 pm I tried to get a Status Match with my RA Ambassador membership with about 100 Nights last year and was denied but they gave me 1 free suite upgrade certificate valid for one year. joshc40 Mar 29, 12, 8:20 pm What's the united offer you refer to? Thanks a lot. According to this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/fairmont-presidents-club/1323611-benefits-ua-1k-gs-plus-fastrack-premier-4-nts-plat-8-nts.html) FPC is offering the following fast track to Premier/Platinum status to United 1K and GS members: Premier status after 4 stays (instead of 5 stays) Platinum status after 8 stays (instead of 10 stays) Cruban Apr 24, 12, 9:37 am Another data point: Asked for status match to Premier being HHonors Gold and Marriott Silver Elite and received a room upgrade cert. Might someone be so kind as to provide a contact email/phone number to request a status match? I have an upcoming 4-night starting tomorrow in Maui, and I'm a HH Diamond, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Please help, as I'm guessing time might be of the essence. Thanks! :) Cruban May 15, 12, 1:45 pm I contacted FPC Guest Services at MarketingSupportGRC@fairmont.com and they responded the next day.
