Harman is unhappy that Schiphol, despite record profits, is increasing fees and charges, according to De Telegraaf and luchtvaartnieuws.nl (http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/nl-NL/Article.cms/Airports/KLM_zegt_vertrouwen_in_Schiphol-directeur_op) (article in Dutch)

The KLM-AMS war continues, huh? I wonder if there is any example of similar mutual hatred between a major airline and its main hub since the Easyjet-Luton war at the time Barclays bought LTN??

What about Ryanair vs. DAA?
(Ryanair b*tches about all its airports, but reserves their special vintage venom for the DAA).

KLM have always considered Schiphol to be "their" airport. In the good old cosy cartel days when KL was the national airline and Schiphol the national airport, their interests were so closely aligned that to all intents and purposes it was KL's airport. Twee handen op een buik, as the Dutch say.
KL have never gotten over the fact that Schiphol no longer dances to their tune.

To which tune does Schiphol dance? I don't believe the changes are profitable for any of the airlines. If airlines are unhappy less flights will come in, and things go downwards from then on..

Latest news. The NMa (Nederlandse Mededingings autoriteiten), are going to launch an investigation to see if Schiphol is abusing it's monopolist position.

That may be the case in the long run, but with Schiphol being a listed company, you can rest assured that they are far more interested in the short-term increase in revenue that will be achieved through this increase in fees.

You would think that neither party even has right of existence without the other one..

Agreed. Which can potentially (and quite perversely) tempt one of the parties to exploit that situation...
