Aegean Airlines Miles&Bonus - Unlisted fare classes that will/will not credit to M&B [Consolidated]

Any *A flight, as long as the class is listed in the earnings table, will count toward tier miles ans status. For codeshares, the same troubles exists as on any *carrier.

Same goes for C and F class, look it up in earnings table. There is no one simple rule like "all F earns 300%", but all flight miles are tier miles and count toward status.

On A3's earning chart, they don't have SA's G fares listed at all (for earning or exempt).
-they have G listed for other carriers
-other carriers have G listed for SA

Any idea how this works out?

If it is not in the list of classes that earn I suggest you anticipate it doesn't earn. They usually list classes that don't earn separately, but this list is not always up to date.
There is a lot of classes that earn differently here than in other programs, so I wouldn't take the comparison of G in other programs (or G from other carriers) as any proof of the opposite.

If the miles are not so important to you and you want to try it out, you could fly without adding any FF to your BP. Then retro claim with A3. If denied, then retro claim with another program. But you stand the chance of not getting any credit anywhere of course.

G on SA does not earn miles. I tried it out myself.

As of recently, G does earn miles on SA (for international flights).

Can you give some details on this statment?
3 posts ago you asked if it will earn, and now you are sure it will?

Since 2010, A3 has not included any mention of G fares flown on SA metal flights (not as earning, not as ineligible to earn). They have updated their Partner Airlines Earning Chart several times since then.

The only comparison I was making to other *A programs was that they DO list SA as having a G fare class & they let you know if (A) Eligible to Earn, or (B) Not Eligible to Earn.

If it is not listed in A3 earning chart, it will probably not credit on A3. As IB6825 said, he actually tried crediting this fare to A3 and found out it didn't earn.

I think we are getting a bit off topic here, as this is the sticky-thread regarding the rules for obtaining A3 gold. I do think that "Unlisted fare classes that will/will not credit" would be a great thread on it's own!^

I wrote Aegean asking them about a SAS fare code that didn't appear on their chart and this is what I received in reply:

In reply to your query, we would like to clarify that if a fare is not included on our list (http://el.aegeanair.com/milesandbonus/perigrafi-programmatos/sugedrosi-milion/#SAS) , it is not eligible for accrual.

According to this (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/18531244-post97.html), it seems UA MP is now giving 100% miles for SAS booking classes that previously earned nothing on other *A FFPs (from what I know, but I might be wrong!). Hopefully they will start earning on A3 also.

That's good news.

Would that be correct?

Yes correct, since it doesn't appear on A3's earning charts. I think there are only one or two FFPs in which LH K earns anything anymore.

Booking class K not listed in the M&B LH charts. In other words: zero miles! :(
