One of the conversations I had today at the Beer Bistro lunch was about going to Manny's for a Flyertalk lunch, we've had lunch Do's a number of times at Manny's but it has been quite awhile, so it is time!! Chicago does not have a great deli scene but Manny's serves a good sandwich.

I chose Wed for those who are not eating red meat during Lent as Manny's has two fish specials that day.

Who's up for lunch at Manny's? ALL ARE WELCOME^

I'd suggest getting there at 11:45am sharp as the line can build.

Damn, I miss another one again, I am flying in to ORD on 6 and to DTW on 7 back again on 8 Morning before heading back to SFO at 2 p.m.
I wish it on March 8 :p

Ah Manny's, home of every long winded Chicago politician ever to run for office! I haven't been there in years. If I can move a conference call that day, I'm in. Will update you. Thanks Willie!

Oh wow! Is this the Manny's on Roosevelt Rd south of the Loop? I've got wonderful memories of eating there as a young teen with my dad, as part of day-long trips from Gary to Chicago...... munching and schmoozing at Manny's as a break amidst visiting the wholesale shoe suppliers in the area!

It's great to know that the strong memories which go with good food in the Chicago area (like the smoked shrimp/fish place on the bridge over tghe Calumet River) are still scrumcious! ENJOY!

Add me in as a VERY tentative maybe. I'm in a training class at my office next week. Hoping the stars - and my lunch break - align and I'll be able to sneak down to meet you guys!

I bought my own Kalua pork sandwich on a taro bun too! Not a matzo ball within miles. :)

Fun time yesterday! So glad I was able to see/meet everyone. Until the next time. Wait, that's Tuesday night. YAY!
