Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus - 747 MUC-BKK or 340 LHR-BKK in F? Your opinion please

Holding F-tickets on both routes. Which would you experts advice and why

Personally, I prefer the 744. It seems to feel so much more exclusiver, especially row 1A and 1K and is certainly more roomy than the 346. There is also a certain romance that the 744 offer with that nice wall (or closet) in front of the cabin that the 346 does not offer (a curtain hiding the toilet and galley).

The thing I really hate about the 346 must be the galley in front. I find it to be rather noisy and do not want to take Row 1 on that plane as such.

Also I find Munich to be a more pleasant airport than London.

I'd also say 744, but it does run the risk of being TG-ed... (i.e. last minute aircraft swap to older version).

Sorry, please bear with another petty complain.

I also notice quite a few times (if not always as I really do not so often in the 346) that the door at the front of the 346 is sometimes not opened but only the second door in Business Class is opened. As such, I can get out of the plane after the business class passengers.

This has not happened when I fly the 744.

But as mentioned, it is a really petty complain.
