They ment, there are two possibilities that could happen: you get an upgrade to business or a downgrade to y. As a TK Elite or Elite + it is easier to get the upgrade, but still not sure.

I would advice you to go to your nearest TK sales office or airport office an talk before about this. Makes things maybe easier.

Yeah i read that too. No TK office here, but i'm staying a day in HKG so maybe worth a try. Or things going smoothly i could possibly make the transfer desk for the previous night with 20min to go.
