Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - Sleeping in Silverkris Lounge/Hotel?
I've been searching the threads for quite a bit but I still have not found a definitive answer. I was considering the option of flying on the 9 a.m. flight to SFO. However, my inbound flight to SIN will arrive at 11:45 p.m. the night before. Both segments in J. Are the lounge chairs in the SilverKris T3 lounge comfortable enough for a couple of hours of sleep, or should I fork out around $40 USD for the transit hotel?
Also, does the lounge provide blankets and pillows for sleeping? Thanks!

funny you should mention this! I was in the skl a couple days ago, early evening, and a few pax were sleeping in the lounge. there are some bench type seats towards the extreme back area... when I say bench type... they are multiple 3 or 4 seat units, but a covered in fabric.
when I first got there the people were just sleeping as best they could. when I cam back after duty free shopping they all had been given pillows and blankets (the exact same ones available on board).
so yes it is possible to sleep there, but make sure you ask for a pillow etc. I think you'd have to be fairly tired to be able to sleep through the light and music though (and occasional announcements)

Fork over the cash for the transit hotel. Much better, more comfortable and you can sleep commando if you want !

Do the transit hotel. It's well worth it.

I've had the same issue as the OP having arrived in SIN at midnight with a flight the next morning. In my last five attempts, I've only been able to get a room at the transit hotel once... it's pretty full most of the time (I also struck out with the sleeping pods as well). Maybe it's just my luck :)

About 6 - 7 years back I overnight in the first class lounge (I was the only one) and they had a few slumber rooms which I had one all on my own.
The departing staff noted my morning flight # for the incoming staff to wake me. I don't think anyone manned it in the wee hours (but I could be wrong), but I was awaken by airport police at about 4 or 5 am doing their rounds.
If I had to do it again, I would pay the extra for the Transit Hotel.
My 2 cents.

The slumber rooms are gone from the T2 First Class lounge? If so, big bummer!
