Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - Early check-in at istanbul Airport?

I have a flight leaving at 23.00hrs, but need to check in around noon. Does anyone know if the TK check in will be open for my flight this early? I don't want to end up at the airport with my luggage having to wait in the check-in area for so many hours thanks!!

I suggest you phone the local station for your airline at IST airport who will know exactly when each checkin opens for each flight and will be able to advise you.

The time you say you want to checkin sounds far too long for any airline to have opened checkin for your flight. Why not check your luggage through, if you are arriving on another airline and your stop is still sufficiently short to make it a transit stop?

I've twice had the bright idea of arriving in one case 4hrs, in another case 2.5hrs hours before before my flight out of IST. (1 flight LX, the other LH). In fact the checkin opened late in one case and only just ontime in the other. Beware as queues after checkin to get through emigration and customs can be long at IST. I've heard they can be so bad that sometimes that you can miss your flight even checking in on time. There is an elite queue to go through customs but when I tried with my *A Gold Card I was told this was for Turkish Airlines elite passengers only and people like diplomats.
