Fare rules for a TAM flight shows:

then also shows:

Fare Basis - WP5DRY

For the purpose of miles accumulation is the fare basis "V" or "W" ?

The information is conflicting however usually the first letter of the fare basis is the booking class. W is likely non earning class so I would be very careful.

Could be that one leg of your flight is V and the other W? They won't always be the same.
