Las Vegas - Renovated Rooms at the MGM -- Feedback?

Received a free room offer from the MGM touting their renovated rooms. I've stayed in the West Wing (once) and found the decor to be too "hip" for my taste -- not very comfortable and rather spartan. I've stayed several times in their regular rooms and hated the connecting door to the adjoining room, as it allows far too much noise to carry from the adjoining room to mine. (Once listened to a 3am dialogue and session between a guest and hooker -- kinda lost its charm after 15 minutes.)

Questions: Has anyone stayed in the renovated rooms? Did they remove the connecting door between rooms?

Thank you in advance

Only seen the photos. I wouldn't think they would convert connecting rooms into non-connecting rooms. I would also be surprised if ALL rooms were connecting rooms. (I could be wrong). Ask for a non-conecting room.

Stayed in a renovated room for v-day. It was nice, automatic shades, and definitely a more modern look. The hallways were renovated as well.

The room I stayed in wasn't connecting.

Not all rooms have connecting doors. Just ask for a room without. I've stayed at the MGM many times over the years and never had a room with a connecting door.
