I believe Tucson is becoming seasonal.

Thanks MostlyAir. I am really glad that we have spent the better part of the last year using our EarlyReturns Credit Cards and now have 100,000+ miles that will probably have no use. Not much else to say I guess.

I talked to Customer Service and they were very cordial. No service to or from Tucson from May 16th -November 14th at least that is what I was told.
Dumping the Frontier Credit Cards and going back to Southwest. My kids can use a bunch of the 100,000+ miles we have earned so far on F9 and we have no intention of throwing any more good money after bad.

yes, I have the same issue. I am getting to use some of my miles soon, but I will have to drive the 2.5 hrs to MKE, the cost of an overnight stay and the 2.5 hr drive back to use some of my miles to Tucson. I have quit using my frontier credit card. Waiting for our United milage plus explorer card to come in the mail which gave us 50,000 bonus miles. At least I should be able to get to Tucson now. I have about 30,000 left - maybe I should consider an upgrade! (can I upgrade? have to look into that and burn those miles) GOODBY FRONTIER. ...HELLO UNITED

Wow. Is Frontier similarly going to change to seasonal flying into PHX? Cannot believe any airline would change to seasonal service for a city as large as Tucson. Personally, I prefer to visit there during the summer anyway (my best friend lives down in Green Valley), as prices of such as hotels and rental cars are much more reasonable, and it isn't THAT hot down there (lived there myself three years); remember, "it's a dry heat". :)

Neither Tucson nor Boise are really "seasonal" markets. They tried to make Boise seasonal but ended up dropping it from their route system. The same thing will probably happen in Tucson.I don't think they'll be back. Southwest and/or United will pick up the slack during their abcense so by next fall there will no room for another carrier or more flights.

All things considered, I think we struck it rich. We get to rise and shine about 2:30 AM, drive 2.5 hours to PHX, fly out to Akron, and then reverse the process for the return. We did get to use a few of the miles so I guess all is not lost. If we are willing to drive to PHX I suppose we can use up a few more, however, we will not be charging anything that goes on the Credit Card.
