If you are an AutoTrain rider, you may have noticed that fares for vehicles have been changing over the last year. There is no longer any difference in fares charged for cars, SUVs or vans. The cost for bringing your vehicle is the same fare, no matter what size vehicle. (Motorcycles will still have a lower fare compared to other vehicles), To keep the redemption costs aligned with these fare changes, there will no longer be a discounted redemption item for cars. As of April 1, 2012, the AutoTrain redemption for Motorcycles will be 10,000 points and all other vehicles will be 15,000 points. This update will be announced soon on AmtrakGuestRewards.com and by email to members in early March.
