Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - TK versus Mddle East carriers and Jet in J

For departure next month TK and various ME carriers (Emirates, Eithad, Qatar) and Jet are all offering roughly the same price to fly RT J from London to Dhaka. I'd return in June. FWIW, the TK legs would mostly be on 320 from LON to IST, then the other legs (including return IST to LON) would be 330-200s or 330-300s, though I understand that with TK plane assignments can change. A few questions:

1. Most fundamentally, which airline would you choose?
2. I love IST and one of the routes has about a 20 hour stopover there. Would TK put me up overnight in a hotel on a J fare?
3. The outbound IST-DAC has a technical stop in Karachi, though the return does not. While I'd prefer non-stop, I assume that having to hang around in the Karachi airport for about 90 minutes is not a big problem. But I would welcome any impressions from any folks who know what this stop is like.

FWIW, I've only flown TK once and liked it, although it was a very short-haul flight. Also, if I fly TK as opposed to the other carriers I accrue about 8,000 UA miles elite-qualifying and about 10,000 UA redeemable miles, which are more valuable to me than the other airlines' programs but not my main consideration in deciding.

Thanks for any help!

IF the flight-times are good and IF the IST-DAC is flown with A330-300 (new J full-flat seats, pick TK without a doubt! I would not mind 2-3 hours in the IST C Lounge :)

If the flight-times are worse or waiting times are too long/too short then I would choose QR or EK, at least you get to fly wide-body aircraft on all 4 sectors. With QR you will also get destinations miles to UA.

Do note that with EK you get to fly the A380, that beats TK!

LHR-IST would be a game breaker for me. Always widebody over narrowbody especially when the LHR-IST is +3h and there's no quarantee you get widebody with TK.

TK vs QR in J ? I would choose QR in the blink of an eye if miles are not the main priority.

Reasons:

a) You'll get the announced A/C.

b) Superior Service on board & in the lounge.

c) TKs CIP Lounge is by far the best *G Lounge in the whole alliance but QRs Premium Terminal Business Lounge is in any aspect even better.E.g.serviced tables,2 restaurants & 1 Bistro, bar with barkeeper ( if you like cocktails),bathroom & showers are top notch.

d) Better assorted wine card on board, cocktails available as well.

e) Food = equal

f) IFE = better

g) Dedicated bus for J Pax.Hence, there are no fingers in DOH yet.A Little downside.
Busride can be anything from 5-20 min.

One thing I regret while flying QR.They are no *A member :(

A liitle Minus:QRs a330/340 seats are only 169 degrees lie flat although very comfortable.
I had no problems to sleep.

Spoken as an TK E+

TK has updated their wine list on their longhauls and it actually tells something about different wines served.

I think that EK, QR, and TK are more or less interchangeable -- with the caveat that I wouldn't choose TK if it were a narrow-body from LHR (I can't speak to EY or 9W.) On Emirates, you could get an A380 from LHR, which would be a nice bonus.

All are good carriers.

Personally, I'd choose TK for the miles, and the better food.

Any reason why AI isn't on that list of carriers? I would choose Air India inflight experience over all 4 of the others 7 days a week. The lounge, on the other hand, isn't quite as good - so keep the connection short ;)

I have to confess to some bias against AI based on what I've read about it, though whether that bias is well founded I can't say because I've never flown it.

But the main reason it's not on the list is that, at least according to the AI site, it doesn't fly to Dhaka.

As moeser has pointed out; I would also consider QR as a overall better option if fares are similar and mileage is of no concern.
