Travel News - Pakistan flight full, so two get seats in the lavatory
Is this considered an upgrade or a downgrade from economy seats, considering you have a enclosed cabin to yourself.
Jokes aside, this is just silly.

Happened on JetBlue a few years ago.
N.Y. man: JetBlue put me on toilet (http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/2008-05-12-sue-jet-blue_N.htm)

From hearing stories from old timers at US, this happened quite a bit with non-revs. The captain would also have them stand in the cockpit when they ran out of jumpseats. :D

LMAO, never mind the obvious answers to questions about takeoff & landing safety issues, turbulence in-flight. But, needless to say, the pax mostly likely did not get their beverages services, if any and what to do when other pax needed to use their "private cabin" for #1 or #2 ... (knock, knock)
Or, did the crew simply hang a sign over the door, reserved/out of order ...
Perhaps, the airline should stock a few folding stools or chairs, and, find a corner in the gallery for this special class? :D

At least it was an internal flight - good grief - mind blowing

Upgrade. You have in-seat power, in-seat sink, private cabin and your own private in-seat loo. :D

They have plenty of stool(s) in the loo.
What a $hitty seat. :D

Well it's better than riding a bus or a train over there where there are just as many people on top of it as there are in it.

I heard the two in the lav were PIA staff-- non-revs. Those who miss their upgrades to non-revs will support this policy.

That's funny thing that I am never ever heard of it. Why those 2 passengers is sitting in lavatory? Why? There is no seat available. It's full flight. They should have remove those 2 passengers off the plane. There is no reason to put those 2 passengers in the entire aircraft. They will have rebooked for next flight out. PK will have get a $400 volunteer.

lol. I wonder what kind of compensation they received.
I always get a litle bit spooked by the noise that airplane flushes make. I feels like I am going to get sucked out too. Do they really need to be that loud.

I have heard two related stories. I can't vouch for their accuracy.
The two seated in the toilet were PIA staff.
It's been reported on Pakistani TV media that PIA is the first airline in the world to have on board toilet cleaners. :D
things like this are bound to happen to a country plagued by a corrupt civilian govt and a corrupt 600,000 man army which are good for absolutely nothing.
With the roadways and railways in a mess, and only 2 small airlines, people really dont have much options to travel......
Not surprised by this, seems to be another safety violation in a growing list of safety violations by this carrier.......i'm surprised how the EU/Canada/US still allow them to fly to their cities without maintenance......

Politics. Why do you think our leaders continue to call it an ally? They don;t want to humiliate Pakistan.

You are absolutely right, mostly. The sad part is not that it's a third world country, but that it represents something America does not.

This is not good thing and government should have to think about it. Thanks god it is the internal flight and therefore traveling time is much less then international.
What is that?
Shhhhh. We can argue about it in PMs. :)
