Hi - I'd like to fly my girlfriend (STL) and myself (SEA) to Puerto Rico either this Spring or this summer. I'm currently sitting on about 70K Delta SkyPesos and about 250K AAdvantage miles. It'd be nice if we flew some of the journey together - but certainly not required.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to do this?
Whenever I check with AA miles it looks like I can just get Business/First milesaaver tickets, but no economy milesaaver tickets.
Thanks!!

I see decent economy MileSAAver availability (17.5k) for STL/SEA > SJU, especially in May. Exactly what difficulties are you having? Any particular dates / month? As far as flying together, one of you can get a one-way ticket to meet the other before-hand ... or plan your itineraries to possibly meet-up in DFW/NYC (getaway cities to SJU) the day of. The latter might be more difficult, but not impossible.

I would recommend both connecting through the same city - DFW would probably be more convenient and a little easier to book - and then meet up on the DFW-SJU leg.

Check April 3- May 23, some avail there. Also I have better luck using British Airways site to check for harder to find trips like this. Add partners, and then it searches 1 week at a time for you, if there is availability there, then you can be pretty sure there are saver awards.
You'll def want to meet up in DFW, or possibly ORD. I agree with that. Just kind of short notice for saver availability to be up, so you might want to get creative. If you go out to August there is availability, but then you might as well wait until Sept and go off peak for 12.5k each way, save 20,000 miles total.

I wonder if you could fly AS from sea-stl to meet the gf, then with her from stl-ord/mia/dfw-sju. Should be able to book it all as one ticket i would think at the same rate as just stl-sju. Note that the sea-stl flight gets into stl at 5.10pm, so you would most likely have to come in the night before. It does go from stl-sea at 6.07pm though so you could same day it going home. Or, as others have suggested, meet in dfw on the way.
