I recently spoke to customer service and wanted to know if anyone can confirm what they said
I have an upcoming stay for 2 nights. I have 2 rooms for both nights.
Customer service says this will count towards my elite status as follows;
Upcoming stay will count as 2 stays and 4 nights. Is this correct?
Just curious because their web site doesn't indicate your current total nights and stays.
Thanks for any help in confirming this

It will count so long as you are paying for both rooms.

Thanks both for confirming what cust service said.
Thats a nice difference from IHG, which would count the 2nd room as an overlapping stay. I would have not gotten the current double points promotion at IHG for the 2nd room. I will receive the current triple points promotion at CC for both rooms.
Thanks again

If you want to be really ambitious, you can book 2 nights, 2 rooms at 2 club carlson hotels (if any nearby) and get 4 stays out of this trip... Not sure if that's important to you (status qualification) over the trouble of moving to a different hotel for the second night.

Thanks. Status matched to Gold in December. Wouldn't mind getting to Concierge. I may just do that, as for me, I think it it will be easier to get to 35 stays rather than 75 nights.
Can anyone tell me if they have noticed any difference(while visiting the hotel), other than the points, at the concierge level from gold

I think Concierge is 30 stays/75 nights. From what I've read and heard, it really depends on the hotel, but you do see the difference in properties outside US. There are some hotels (in the US as well) that have an exclusive Concierge floor with upgraded rooms and you get free breakfast at every Radisson.
I'll hit concierge level next week and I'll let you know if i see a difference in service from that point on.
