Marriott Rewards (including Ritz-Carlton) - Elite Rollover Nights Returns for 2012; extra nights will count towards 2013 status

I received a "Your Account" email message from Marriott that had a link titled "Elite Rollover Nights rolls on! - Extra nights now count for your 2013 status."

The link doesn't seem to work unless I'm logged in to Marriott, so I won't post it here. However, after poking around, I eventually noticed that the
Marriott Rewards Extends Elite Rollover Nights Promotion (http://www.marriott.com/marriott/eliterolloverFAQs.mi) page was updated on 1/18/12.

The second from the bottom paragraph includes this line:

There’s no need to do anything extra – if you stay above your Elite level renewal requirement, your 2012 Elite Rollover Nights will be automatically posted to your 2013 account

Just remember that does not count 2011 rollover nights.

OK, how about Rollover confirmed for 2012/2013 (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/marriott-rewards/1297108-rollover-confirmed-2012-2013-a.html) from December?

Here's the direct link to l0ve's January 26, 2012 post: FT - Elite Rollover returns 2012 (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/17894919-post99.html)

(Honestly, I did multiple searches before starting this thread, but missed that post.)

I rolled over 5 nites in 2010, then in 2011 I had ended with 81 nights I wasn't happy that they only rolled over 1 nite rather than 6. They basically minus what I didn't need to maintain the status. BUT I EARNED THEM, I personally do not feel this is a true rollover program!

Grrrrrrr

You think you're mad? I lost 18 nights that didn't roll over (ended the year with 68 nights and none rolled into 2012). There were several instances, particularly toward the end of the year, where I paid more and/or stayed in a less convenient location just so that I could earn the nights at Marriott. I won't make that mistake again.
