From reading through a few older posts I gather that on short-haul flights Swiss no longer provide wardrobe cupboards where I could hang my suit. Is this observation correct? Thanks, ps

Your right, it's called NEK and can also be found on LH C.

IIRC in the Avros(Jumbolinos) and in some Fokker 100, operated by Helvetic, still you can find them.

Yes- the Jumbolinos still have the closet.

You are right they got "enhanced" away. The trusted Jumbolinos will leave the fleet in 2013 when the C-series arrive ( my guess is without a closet for the c-class ).

Just to report back, my GVA-ZRH flight (A320) did not have any wardrobe cupboard. Luckily the flight was so empty (seven passengers in 11 rows of business) that I could just put my suit in an overhead locker.
