Hello,

I'm planning a flight to E. Europe using AA miles to connect with a Czech Airlines flight in MXP. According to the AA website Flight #198 lands around 8 a.m. in Terminal 1B. The CSA website has a flight that leaves 75 min later from Terminal 1A.

Do you all think 75 mins enough time to get through customs, check bags and get from T1A to T1B & make the CSA flight? Or should I just get a hotel in MXP and fly out on Czech Airlines the next day?

Can you check your luggage through to your destination? In other words, do AA and Czech have an interline agreement? Can you carry on your luggage on the AA fight?

If so, you might be able to go through Milan as a tranist passenger and stay airside, meaning all you'd have to do is head from your arrival gate to the departure gate, pick up a boarding pass at a transit desk, clear security on the way, but avoid customs, luggage retrieval and another check-in. You should have plenty of time that way.

I don't recall whether the airside route works in MXP between 1A and 1B, but I know plane changes can be done this way at FCO (Rome).

If you do have to clear customs, get bags, check in and then do passport control/security again, 75 minutes could be mighty tight. Depending on where you're seated, it can take 15-20 minutes simply to get off the inbound AA flight.
