Dang! need to tear apart my parents kitchen countertop that night to have the granite guy install Thursday. Will see if I can sneak out for it.

Doesn't look like it's close enough to a Metra station to be doable for me.

I really need to get myself a zip car membership at some point!

Bob Chinn has excellent food, been there a couple times... wish I am at ORD doing to MR again so I could enjoy the food and get together with you all.

This may actually be doable for me. My work is such that if I get an offer for a big-bucks last-minute project, I'm not going to turn it down; but barring that, count me in! :)

Good point. I could grab the 5:30 out of Union Station if someone is able to:

1) Pick me up at the Wheeling Metra Station at 6:20PM. (Looks to be about 1.5 miles from the restaurant).

2) Drop me off at ORD or another blue line stop after dinner.

Any takers?I can do, seeing as I live very close to ORD, it is easy for me to drop you back at the Blue line (or Des Plaines Metra if that works better).

I just had my fifth dinner there last night. So addicted. We're doing The Drawing Room with my sorority sister who works for Steph... she's been my guide for the Goat and as a result I've worked my way through pretty much the entire menu.

Ironically and very coincidentally I heard that story (sort of in a more general sense) last night. Not going to post it here, but I know what happened... if you are ever interested in the other side of the coin. :o

I just cleaned my Bob Chinn's mai tai cups out, they will make a fun item, they are much better than the mai tai cup I remember from years ago.

Let's do the Goat again..I'd like to, I'll look into it and plan something, that roasted leg of goat w/the flatbreads and various sauces sounded too good.

Speaking of goat, I went for Korean Goat Stew the other day, a pot full of ramps, goat & broth is placed on your table, a burner heats the mix, softening the ramps/cooking the goat, that mixture is then served. Then the burner is turned up and some rice is added to the little remaining mixture in the pan, the rice becomes crusty from the heat, & voila another dish is created. Very good stuff.^
