Europe - Cheapest way to go from Bonn to Zurich?

Can someone tell me what is the cheapest method to go from Bonn, Germany to Zurich, Switzerland?

If the train is the option, how long will this take and whether I need to change trains along the way or not? How much will this option typically be?

Sounds like it might be cheaper if I fly. If I book in advance for that route, what is the cheapest can I expect for the train fare?

The easiest way to find out is to go to the bahn.de site mentioned above, pick a random date a few months in the future (avoiding any holiday dates), and see what it comes up with.

What options have you found so far?

The cheapest option is of course to hitchhike, but I'm guessing you didn't mean that.

Eurolines coach from Frankfurt-Zurich (I couldn't find anything from Bonn) seem to come in at €9 for a cheapo advance ticket. Six hours isn't much fun on a bus, but that's a damn good price.

The only airline that offers rather cheap direct one-way flights CGN-ZRH is germanwings (germanwings.com). Their rates start at 30 € (without luggage).
So depending on the date flying may be cheaper, however on short notice the train is most likely the better option.
