Golden parachutes are nice.
Golden parachutes are nice.
In this case that does not apply however.

golden parachute
noun
an employment contract or agreement guaranteeing a key executive of a company substantial severance pay and other financial benefits in the event of job loss caused by the company's being sold or merged.
Kevin Healy got a new job with Andretti Sports Marketing. That new job has nothing to do with any type of severance package he may have been awarded for leaving AirTran. It's o.k. to be envious/resentful/etc. but this is not, by definition, a golden parachute.
How so?
A) If you knew the situation or person you wouldn't be saying what you said.
B) That is first of all not even his first job

C) FL has a long history of working with Andretti (myself included) that has spanned many years before the merger and this is not a headhunting symbolic expedition.

Kevin has a lot of ties to MKE in promotion and media. Seems like an ideal choice.
