LAN LANPASS - Lounge access in LAX

I am flying LAX to SCL on this upcoming Tuesday. Which lounge(s) in LAX are we able to go to? On the website, it just says Oneworld. I am not familiar enough with LAX to know which ones this applies to.
I am staying at a nearby hotel for the night prior to leaving. How much time should I allow in the lounge? What experience with food choices have their been?
Thanks! I appreciate all of your advice.

Hi,
In the Tom Bradley Intl terminal ( where LAX departs from) this is a joint OW lounge on level 5 after security ( BA/QF/CX) etc which I think LAN uses.
Separate First and Business areas. Reasonable selection of drinks and hot and cold food.
There is also an Intl Lounge on level 4.

During the day the lounge is nice, at night its crowded since QF and CX have flights as well as LAN. I personally like the food. I would stay longer during the day and less time at night. They will give you a pass when you check in.

TBS is, as usual, correct. I was just in that lounge last month, and it's decent, though not over the top by any means.
I am not positive LAN uses this joint oneworld lounge, as I did not check personally - though it certainly makes sense. If so,
Tom Bradley International Terminal
The Qantas/British Airways/Cathay Pacific oneworld lounge* is located on the Airside departure level 5.
Open from 0630 to 0130 daily except Thursday from 0900 to 0130
*Due to capacity constraints, access for members and their guests to the Qantas, British Airways and Cathay Pacific oneworld lounge in Los Angeles is subject to space availability. Alternate lounges may be used to accommodate eligible customers within the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Specifically, arrangements have been made for eligible customers travelling on Mexicana operated and marketed flights to be invited to use the Mexicana Lounge in Tom Bradley International.
If not, the lounge Mexicana used when operating may be the one, on the 4th level - shared by a number of airlines, including Philippines Mabuhay lounge, etc. When lounges are operating at or near capacity, invitations may be issued to other lounges than what one expected.

Hi,
From the lan website;
http://www.lan.com/en_us/sitio_personas/volar_en_lan/experiencia_de_viaje/salones_vip.html.
( web page in is in english despite the spanish link above)
For LAX it states the lounge on the 5th floor belonging to one world so it is the oneworld lounge as described above.

Thanks everyone, that does help me decide how to balance my time. My flight leaves at 1400, so I will probably aim to arrive at LAX ~3 hours ahead of that to give myself plenty of time to get to a lounge and relax before boarding.

Hi,
Enjoy LAN. I flew business class with them on FRA-MAD and SCL-IPC and the flat beds were excellent, with great AVOD and very good food ( pity they do not fly from London)

That will probably be perfect timing. I just flew this exact flight on Sat. ~7mins to check in and ~5 to get through security. Was a breeze. Only regret was leaving to go to the gate too early (BP said something like t-45 mins, but it was more like t-25)
Enjoy the flight. I'd recommend not going for the "cold" breakfast - it was described as a a pastry and coffee which I guess is true, but the pastry was a chocolate/chocolate chip muffin. More like a desert if you ask me.

K... hope you have a smooth flight. If you do, then my husband and I will, too. And, we're in business class as well.
J... what was the alternative to ordering the "cold" breakfast?

I think it was an omelet of sorts--and I think it also came with a pastry. From what I could tell, it looked pretty good. They claimed they'd let you sleep longer if you opted for the "cold" breakfast, but I didn't think that at all--the commotion of serving other passengers, along with the fact that all the cabin lights were on will wake you up anyways.

I ended up not getting to the lounge until about an hour and a half before my flight departure due to the airport shuttle. (The didn't tell me it only runs on the half hour, I missed it by 5 minutes and had to wait.) Not to worry, our flight was delayed by 5 hours, so I had plenty of time to see the lounge. :) Since we were there for so long, they actually let us go to the nicer side for the last couple of hours, so I was able to get a good comparison.

Yes, there are two entrances. The one on the left is for the Business class passengers and the one on the right is for QF and CX first class and OW Emeralds.

Does the OW lounge sell one-day passes?

Though some airlines do this (notably AA), I do not think the lounge does.
There is a paid airline lounge in the TBIT, and iirc it may be before security. There's a nice page here (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/los-angeles/477264-consolidated-lounges-lax-lounge-access-showers-questions-one-thread.html)on lounges in the Los Angeles Forum, including a link to the reLAX paid lounge.
