AirTran Airways A+ Rewards - WN Flier new to Airtran, A+ Question

My apologies for being a newbie to AirTran, I'm sure this has come up but I haven't seen it before.

I am Southwest A-List though I've never flown AirTran before. I was wondering if AirTran will honer the elite status and carry it over into their program.

Specifically I want to skip the lines for TSA and use the preferred customer/Fly By lines I've grown accustomed to. If there's a business class upgrade; great, but honestly skipping the lines is the goal.

Anyone have any details about this?

Any other little tips I ought to be aware of?

Last August WN/FL announced a reciprocity program where all WN A-List customers got Airtran A+ Elite status, and vice versa, providing you all the perks of A+ Elite status - designated check-in desk, priority security lines (where available), Elite customer service access, and battlefield upgrades to BC at T-40 mins.

I would recommend calling Airtran CS and they should be able to set you up with your Elite membership.

Whenever you book you can pick your seat for free at booking. You can pick any seats on the plane including exit rows but not business class of course.

Do online check-in @ T-24.

Upgrade priority is structured on it.

Flight went well. Seats seem to be just an inch closer together than on WN, also due to said space my laptop was too big for the tray, but overall experience was positive.

I called customer service and they said they would upgrade me. the upgrade would take about two weeks.
