KLM Flying Dutchman - Check in luggage on second segment?

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I can not seem to find a definitive answer.
I am about to book the following on KLM:
CPH-AMS-SIN
and return SIN-AMS
I will not have any checked luggage on the CPH-AMS segment (only carry-on, as on business trip), but on the following AMS-SIN segment I would like to check in luggage. ( 6 hour layover in AMS, before the following AMS-SIN flight)

Is this possible on KLM? Fly the first segment with carry on luggage only, and check in luggage on the next segment?

Been there. Done it. Yes its fine. Many a times I start in AMS, but originate from other places cos its cheaper than from AMS. So I buy a cheapie to FRA, then from FRA-AMS-xxx. I get off at AMS and check in bags.

I've done it after an overnight connection at AMS, even after checking a bag through for the first part of the trip. In other words, when returning from a long trip, I have checked a large suitcase XXX-AMS-YYY and then in AMS checked a carry on size bag AMS-YYY in addition.
