I'm at 54 nights, 29 stays with another week of travel yet to come. Right now it looks like I'll end up at 59 nights, 32 stays. I have no reason to get to 60, as I already requalified as Diamond based on stays.

To those people here who have such amazing amounts of stays - why do you travel so much?

Are you consultants or something?

I'm single/no children...and LOVE to travel.... the other 100+ nights I do sleep at home. I have had over 200+ nights in hotels for the past 6 years now. It really makes no difference to me whether I'm home ..or traveling...I often stay on the road for weeks at a time. At least I get to come home to the best weather in the country....that's why I hang my hat in San Diego. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I'm another one of those who live in SAN and do the travel thing.

I'll have 76 stays and over 183 nights. This is only for travel Sun - Fri. I'm home each and every weekend so I can see the family.

Hilton and only Hilton (other than the 6 nights in a Starwood in Fresno because of no Hiltons. I sure wish they would put one Hilton property in this town!!!)

Also remade Platinum in Holiday Inn Program with 49 nights. Also have 37 nights in Marriott thus far, but will probably fall short of 50 for year.

Currently 31/73 - will end up 33/76, plus another twenty nights scattered elsewhere when a Hilton property wasn't a realistic option or Priceline's rate was just too good. Next year is pretty much a lock for requalifying but on stays instead of nights, as I can already count my 28 stays.

34 stays, 40 nights. At the Bellevue Hilton right now (not bad for exec floor at $74, BTW) since I have no electrical power at home due to 12/4 & 5 windstorms. Waah. DT 4 blocks south was cheaper by $7, but I must be getting snotty, as I won't even stay at DT's anymore and often will pick Hampton's over them.

Rest of travel stays this year are Hotwire and Wyndham 72-hour sale.
