Hilton HHonors - New Diamond but upcoming stays have me as gold

I just reached diamond last week and the website has me as a diamond. Unfortunately for 2 reservations I made AFTER the website had me listed as diamond I am still listed as a gold on the reservations confirmation page.

I would like to have the diamond benefits (if there is any difference from gold) as well as the 50% bonus points. Do I need to call and get them to input that I am a diamond or will they just adjust the points postings later?

My experience as having recently reached Diamond is that the hotel will update your status when they process your reservation. I had three reservations made as a gold and then turned diamond. All three had my updated VIP level noted in their system upon check in.

Just make sure to check the rate confirmation that you sign when you check in. That will indicate your status...make sure to tell the front desk if it is not correct.

If the Hilton website shows you are a Diamond when you log on, then you are a Diamond. The most important aspect of being a Diamond for the two stays you refer to is the 50% bonus points. You do not have to do anything about this as the website says you are now Diamond. For the two upcoming reservation that show Gold, you could cancel and rebook (unless the rate went up), Call the hotel and have them make note of it, or not worry about. The only effect you may encounter is the upgrade. Enjoy your new earned status and welcome to the club.

The Hilton reservation system is dynamic. It will show your current status on check in. You do not need to rebook, nor do you need to call the hotel - they will have your proper designation. It is always an appropriate question at check-in to ask "What do you do for Diamonds at this property?"
