oneworld - Safest Airline for booking *ONE* ticket?

Given the recent bankruptcy and grounding of Malev, the "bankruptcy" of AA and the poor financial condition of member elects airberlin & Kingfisher, I suppose LA, CX, JL & QF are among the safest airlines to ticket any airfares.

I'm curious what FT members think about this.

I would say, by pure external impression, CX.

Of course, from my short history of stock trading, I have learned impressions and internal financials could have absolutely no relations. :)

BA/IB aren't going anywhere either...

Honestly, the AA bankruptcy speculation is overblown, especially here on FT. I have great difficulty believing AA is going to stop flying planes overnight.
