JAL is now working on its medium term business plan as part of the preparation to be relisted. The medium term business plan covers FY2012 till FY2016. Key points include
- Target 25% growth in international seating capacity
- Open new routes to N America and Europe
- Strengthen partnership with foreign airlines
- Make use of the state-of-art 787 and further reduce the amount of large aircrafts
- Expect 2% decline in domestic passenger traffic
- Want to maintain 100 billion yen operating profit per fiscal year even under severe business environment
- Want to maintain 10% margin
