Could not find a great opinion on this in search. Mom and I are planning a pointstrecher (if ever listed) for April 2004 to visit LA (Dr Phil, Rodeo Drive, Knotts Berry Farm, Leno) and will have 2 stays using points from both our gold accounts. Having only stayed at Hilton, and HGI but not DT or Embassy, which of the two is the better choice for space, comped breakfast, and quality of accomodations, and of course Gold upgrade. Mom was blown away at the NYC Millenium Hilton Jr Suite upgrade; so I want her to be happy with this choice as well. Looks like 1 will be in the Anaheim area and I see both chains listed. Leaning for the other stay at the universal hilton. Lastly, do all properties in LA have a parking charge?
Thanks for any input
Judy J

If you can, please let us know where in LA you would like to stay (the general area). I know I love the DT Westwood on Wilshire. Great upgrades to the executive room/suite (ask for the rooms away from the road). This is just down the street from the Hilton Beverly Hills but I feel a lot nicer and better cost. The parking for this hotel is $18 per night the last time I was there.

All the ES are typical ES. There is one in Anahiem close to Disneyland that was opened about a little over a year ago. Very nice property and one that I would stay at each time in the area. Parking is free but there are three other properties in the same area (HGI, Hampton and ES) and also a very nice resturant and the parking can get a little crowded at times.

These are two that I've stayed at. Let us know where you want to be, and I'll see if I can give you some more help.
