Argentina - Bus Station Mendoza

Hi. My parents ask me to find a hotel in the near of the bus station in Mendoza from Monday to Wednesday next week. They will come with a bus from Santiago, Chile. Is there only one main busstation for this buses or do I need more information?
Do you have any advice for a good but cheap hotel? They need a tripple room or one double and one single room. I think 3 stars would be ok for them.

There is one main Omnibus terminal but your parents should not stay near the bus station as it is not the best area for safety or tourist attractions. The bus terminals at both ends of the trip will probably be more crowded than usual due to Chilean summer vacation. Beware of bag snatchers and pickpockets.

Use one of the consolidated hotel booking sites to find a hotel or apartment near Plaza Independencia. You will need to book ASAP as again this is the Chilean vacation month.

There is a taxi stand at the bus station. If you take one, make sure the meter is reset and beware of them not taking the most direct route. Last time I was there, it was the Argentina Peso equivalent of less than 3 USD to get to the nearby area east of Plaza Independencia.

During the day, many Microcenter/Plaza Independencia area hotels and apartments are also in walking distance from the bus terminal if you don't mind 8-12ish Mendoza city blocks.

Good location. Near the plaza and near good restaurants. For bargain eating including all you can eat buffets there is Avenida Las Heras. There is also a hypersupermarket called Carrefour at the intersection of Belgrano and Las Heras.

On the return, realize that backups frequently happen at the Los Libertadores station due to strict Chilean customs (agriculture and illegal drugs).
