JAL Mileage Bank - Flying from Singapore - seat availability?

Hi,

Apologies if this is a n00b question - I did a quick search but couldn't seem to find anything related.

I'm looking to fly SIN-NRT/HND in early April. If I leave SIN anytime up to 31st Mar, a range of fares in Y and J are available. If I leave from 1st April onwards only full? Y and J are available (about $3000 for Y and $6000 for J).

When does JAL make the rest of the fare classes available (ExpertFlyer is showing plenty of availability - I just can't seem to book it via the JAL website ex-SIN)

Thanks in advance.

I remember not too long ago, when I was still able to schedule and ticket my flights on discounted Y & J fares for at least eight months out, but not anymore. Since late 2010, I have found that the discount fares would be released anywhere from one and a half months before flight to any time JAL decides to release it. One time last year I had to get an agent to chase after the discount fare when I was at about two weeks to flight. I also find that if the seat availability is tight on that flight, they will tend to not release the discount fare until closer to the flight date, which only makes business sense for the airline.

For your flight date, I would keep checking back in the next two weeks.

Hope you'll find something soon. Or, get an agent to help you.

JAL will release those discounted fares later and it depends on the SIN office. FYI ex-Japan fares have been released
