Spring City, TN, is nowhereville USA. There's a fairly new HoJo there and I stayed a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic property! The guest room had a really nice leather Lay-E-Boy recliner. They are made in that county. The hotel had a movie theater. Twelve cushy seats, theater grade screen and surround sound. Movies are current "first run" movies. We saw "The Help" and "Moneyball." Free. You just go to the front desk and ask them to load a movie for you. If you wish to watch the movie in your room, it costs $1.10. There was a restaurant right next door with, I was surprised, liquor by the drink. I think that's fairly new in Spring City. It was dry the last time I was there. The only thing in Spring City is the TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. Really, if it hadn't been for the promo, I wouldn't have gone. That stay maxed me out for the 6,500 bonus round. I doubt any of you reading this will ever find yourself in Spring City, TN, but, if by chance you have to go, try out the Howard Johnson. Only negative; no AT&T cell service in town. On the plus side, they offer free local and long distance phone service in the hotel.
