Tonight when I checked into the Reno Hilton for a stay to top off my Gold VIP account for the year (and to get my promotional bonus points) I was told that because of the low rate ($29) that I booked (via renohilton.com) I would not get points but I "might get stay credit."
I could care less about the measly 400 points, but I want my stay and I want my bonus points. This is the second stay I've done here at this rate (did one two weeks ago) and the other one never posted. So now I'm concerned. If this is some kind of hilton or reno hilton policy it would be nice if they actually said something about this anywhere, because I'd have booked the higher priced rate on HHonors.com had I known about it. I've gone one more stay coming up that I may cancel and re-book via the HHonors site if I have to do so.
So, are these stays and bonus points going to show up as a stay or am I just out of luck?
