Can someone advise on internet access from the room at these two hotels? Do they have? How much? Thanks

Haven't been to this hotel, but at the Hilton Metropole they have the internet on your TV and they have a wireless keyboard. Don't use this. It's incredibly slow and I had to type one email 3 times before it would send. Save your money and go to an internet cafe or the like.

As of my visit this past June, no high speed in the rooms at Park Lane. The phone line was pretty clean so dial up worked fast, but very expensive on a per minute basis - I just logged in, syncronized my e-mail, and disconnected and worked off line. Not much web surfing at those per minute phone rates.

It is rather expensive. We just spent a week there from Sep 5-11. I did purchase 2-1 hour internet cards at 12 GPB a piece. It was expensive, but I loved going up to the Club Room and using the computer up there. It was nice...I could sip a glass of champagne (good stuff too) and email my family/friends. Expensive? Yes...but I justified it because the champagne was free!

High speed Internet access is available at the Park Lane Hilton London. It uses the STSN connection, just as at the LHR Hilton. You have a small bag with both a cable for modems and a cable for Ethernet.

Price per day from noon to noon is 20 pounds. There are options for several days or a month.

Works quite well

FYI There is a Kinkos very close to the London Hilton Green Park which is in itself very close to the London Hilton.
